چکیده

ABSTRACT Objective: Conduct a survey on the interference of drugs in laboratory tests. Methodology: To identify each medication tests, Municipal List Essential Medicines (Remume) medium-sized municipality state Minas Gerais was used along with following sources information: Dynamed, Micromedex® and Nursing Reference Center. Results: We observed that majority (67.7%) Remume can interfere one or more tests; among them, main classes are diuretics, beta blockers, s-lactams, sulfonamides, macrolides, tricyclic antidepressants selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors antidepressants. Conclusion: It is extremely important to disseminate knowledge about these interferences so health professionals alert know how possible changes, reducing analytical errors subsequently misdiagnosis erroneous monitoring. Continued education drug tests equally important.

Short-interference RNAs: becoming medicines

RNA interference is a cellular mechanism by which small molecules of double stranded RNA modulate gene expression acting on the concentration and/or availability of a given messenger RNA. Almost 10 years after Fire and Mello received the Nobel Prize for the discovery of this mechanism in flat worms, RNA interference is on the edge of becoming a new class of therapeutics. With various phase III ...

Interference with clinical laboratory analyses.

Interference by endogenous and exogenous substances with assays for clinical analytes is a common problem in laboratory medicine. For this review, we defined interference as "the effect of a substance present in the sample that alters the correct value of the result, usually expressed as concentration or activity, for an analyte." There are four major endogenous compounds that consistently inte...

1 Laboratory 2 : Single Photon Interference

The purpose of this experiment was to observe the wave-particle duality of photons by demonstrating that single photons can and do interfere with themselves. This was accomplished through the use of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer and a Young double slit apparatus. The EMCCD camera used for both experiments can detect single photons to some degree, thus demonstrating the particle nature of photon...
